Industry Analysts Cite SYSPRO ‘Einstein Theory of ERP Relativity’

Chainlink Research, Mint Jutras are Reporting SYSPRO S=MC2 Messaging “Relevant” to Small- Mid-Sized Manufacturers/Distributors Seeking Cost, Cash and Material Controls

COSTA MESA, Calif. (October 13, 2011) – SYSPRO, a developer of best-of-breed, award-winning enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for on-premise and cloud-based utilization, referenced today new industry reports and blogs regarding the company’s “Einstein Theory of ERP Relativity” strategy for small and mid-sized manufacturers and distributors. The theory, part of the SYSPRO US go-to-market strategy for helping companies better manage their cost, cash and materials dynamics, was launched by SYSPRO in December 2010 and has been gaining momentum ever since.

In the most recent citings by analyst firms Chainlink Research and Mint Jutras, and in August by Technology Evaluation Centers, SYSPRO’s “genius” model is described as “super relevant to today’s small and mid-size businesses (SMBs).”

“SYSPRO is primarily focused on supporting the business needs of the customer. Therefore, they are about supporting Materials Management, Cash Management and Cost controls for their customers,” says Ann Grackin, CEO, Chainlink research. “… They [SYSPRO] are staying energetic, transforming their architecture, adding more services and staying relevant to their customers, which gives them one of the largest customer retention rates in the industry.”

This past week, Mint Jutras Principal Cindy Jutras wrote about SYSPRO’s Einstein strategy as, “… a clever association with the genius of the world’s most renowned theoretical physicist. The goal of this strategy is simply to make Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for the small to mid-size manufacturer smarter by listening carefully to its customers, perfecting its implementation methodology, focusing resources on education, technology and functionality in order for SYSPRO users to maximize business benefits.”

In August, Jutras elaborated further on the SYSPRO relativity theory in her paper, “SYSPRO USA Defines the Theory of ERP Relativity S=MC2.” Noted Jutras, “In keeping with its theme of ‘Simply Smarter ERP,’ SYSPRO continues to deliver on its strategy by introducing its own theory of ERP relativity S=MC2 … The SYSPRO strategy revolves around listening to its customers. Unlike Einstein’s theory of relativity, SYSPRO’s theory of ERP relativity is quite simple. The value of SYSPRO ERP is derived from better materials management, cost control and cash management.”

Jutras agrees that every line of business or IT professional in a manufacturing company needs to know the relationship between material management, cost savings and cash management. Stressing each of these control points, she cautioned: “… All manufacturers must play a balancing act when it comes to materials management; rising costs of labor, energy, transportation, services, taxes and so on necessitate stringent cost controls; and the phrase ‘cash is king’ has never been more relevant than it is today.” The Jutras article described how SYSPRO ERP facilitates the controls of each.
