Intacct Names Andrew Marks as Vice President of Client Services

Former SAP Executive to Lead Intacct’s Industry-Leading Buy with Confidence Client Satisfaction Program

SAN JOSE, Calif. (July 22, 2008) –

Intacct, a leader in on-demand financial management and accounting applications, today announced the appointment of Andrew Marks as vice president of client services. Responsible for both professional services and customer support, Marks will lead the Intacct Buy with ConfidenceSM program to ensure that both direct clients and channel partners can depend on Intacct for world-class support and implementation services. Marks will report directly to Mike Braun, president and CEO of Intacct.

Traditionally, financial application software vendors haven’t offered guarantees to their clients. Companies buy the software and from then on it’s their problem – but Intacct is different. The Intacct Buy with Confidence program lets clients know what to expect from Intacct and also compensates them if Intacct fails to meet specific commitments for system availability, professional services quality, and several other measures. No other on-demand software company offers this level of commitment to customer satisfaction.

Achieving high levels of client satisfaction for a Software as a Service (SaaS) vendor is more than just delivering on guaranteed system availability. Intacct also guarantees its clients prompt responses to questions, applications that work as advertised, quality service delivery, a view of what’s ahead and accurate, hassle-free billing. Intacct ensures that its clients’ financial data is protected and that Intacct’s financial applications will remain up and running, even if disaster strikes. These are the cornerstones of Intacct’s client satisfaction program, and in Intacct’s most recent quarterly client satisfaction survey, more than 90 percent of responding clients said they would recommend Intacct to their colleagues.

“As a SaaS vendor, we have to earn our customers’ business every single month, and we’ve become so good at doing this we can offer our clients the industry’s strongest and most comprehensive service guarantees,” said Mike Braun. “Andrew Marks brings to Intacct a wealth of knowledge and experience in building and running first-rate client services organizations. As Intacct continues to grow, Andrew will play a critical role in helping to take our Client Services organization to the next level to ensure high levels of client success and satisfaction.”

Andrew Marks brings to Intacct more than a dozen years of experience in professional services implementation, customer support and management. Marks joins Intacct from SAP, via its acquisition of business intelligence leader Business Objects, where he grew and managed one of the most successful professional services divisions in the company. Marks also built and managed a very successful global services organization at Savvion, a leading provider of business process management software, where he was responsible for 60 percent of corporate revenue. Marks has also held various senior professional services positions at Genesys Telecommunications (acquired by Alcatel) and Scopus Technology (acquired by Siebel Systems). Marks started his career at Apple Computer in customer support.

“Having been in the software industry for the better part of my career, it is easy to see the massive business opportunity for SaaS solutions such as Intacct. However, that opportunity can quickly evaporate if you don’t have a strong commitment to client satisfaction,” said Marks. “My goal is to build a top-notch client services organization so we can effectively and efficiently support the growing Intacct client base; ensure a predictable, repeatable and high quality implementation of our financial applications; and support our channel partners in the field with a variety of programs and service offerings.”
