South Africa’s Leading Engineering Group Selects Agresso ERP to Support Growth in Diverse Markets

UNIT4, the global business software group, today announced that Bosch Holdings Group, South Africa’s leading engineering and services group based in Durban, has purchased its Agresso Business World Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to manage operations across three diverse business divisions.
UNIT4 is a leading provider of enterprise software for Businesses Living IN Change (BLINC)™. The contract, signed with UNIT4 distributor Exponant, is worth more than €250,000 (approx. $312,500 USD) in software and services.
Bosch Holdings recently underwent a significant change programme to rebrand and better establish itself as an integrated, multi-company group. The group operates three distinct divisions which are specifically structured to enable each company to focus on its unique niche markets and core businesses yet collectively offer the full resources, services and products of the group as seamless integrated packages. Bosch Projects provides engineering solutions and equipment in the industrial, sugar and energy sectors. Bosch Stemele provides specialised multi-disciplinary engineering services for a wide range of infrastructure developments as well as project and construction management and Bosch Munitech provides specialist operations and maintenance services to public sector authorities.

Along with organizational change, we are subject to ongoing legislative change within the sectors in which we operate, and required a system that would allow us to accomodate new mandates as they are introduced. We are confident we will be able to do that now across our different business divisions from a single system.”
Agresso Business World is a fully integrated role-focused ERP system, ideal for service or people based organizations that need financial accounting and other back office software integrated with a broader range of core business functions in a single unified system. Built on the unique Vita architecture, it has been designed from the ground up to help users easily adapt the system, in line with ongoing business or operational change.
Bosch Holdings has purchased Agresso modules covering financials, project costing and billing, procurement, human resources and planning.
