UK (March 23, 2010) –
UNIT4, the global business software company, has appointed Clare Dorey to the role of Professional Services Director for its UK operations. Clare, who has held a number of senior services roles with leading companies including Capita and Anite, will be responsible for UNIT4’s 200 UK based consultants and project managers. She will also work with the Group as a whole to ensure service and solution excellence to the Group’s expanding customer base as well as with developing new service offerings and maintaining the quality of delivery standards.

During her career Clare has developed extensive experience across both the public and private sectors working with customers and partners to develop and implement comprehensive solutions and services that address change, performance and productivity management.

Anwen Robinson, UK Managing Director for UNIT4, said: “Professional services is fundamental to delivering customer satisfaction – driving the right outcomes for our clients. We are committed to ensuring that our business is aligned with the needs of the customer and that we deliver what we say we will in an efficient and effective way. In appointing Clare we have the strong leadership, knowledge and experience needed to ensure we have the right people doing the right things in the right way so that the team can deliver the current and future needs of the customers confidently and competently.”

The challenges for UNIT4 customers in the UK are quite diverse with some emerging from the recession and looking to grow quite rapidly while others, particularly public sector customers, continuing to face tougher times. In either circumstance customers will have to address considerable change such as restructuring, significant headcount changes, acquisition, divestment or the increased sharing of services if they are to survive and prosper. UNIT4’s business solutions enable customers to address such changes quickly, efficiently and cost effectively, building business value and delivering real improvements in performance.

Clare sees her role as working with customers and the wider UNIT4 Group to ensure these objectives are met: “The agility that UNIT4’s proposition gives our customers to address change and rapidly adapt was a key reason I joined the team. I believe we are uniquely positioned to address the needs of these complex and challenging times. Traditionally we’ve focused on implementing software products – we’ve been a technology partner to our customers. Increasingly our customers are looking to us for more – the opportunity is there to work more strategically with our customers and we will be looking to extend our offer to include more business support services such as business cases, business process design, benefits realisation and change management. In targeted segments we will be developing our strong partner network further and here the challenge is to deliver industry leading services to support and grow that network. These are exciting times for our Group and I am looking forward to the coming year, to working with the team and to capitalising on the opportunities open to us.”
