Real Business Solutions has found a way to go green for 2011. The tax preparation company released W2 Mate 2011, the company’s popular 1099 accounting software. This new version is designed to simplify tasks, such as year-end reporting, and to drive cost savings for tax payers, small businesses and 1099 online filing providers.
During tax season, businesses and accountants are used to sending paper copies to the clients and contractors. With W2 Mate, the 1099 forms are converted to a PDF format and can then be e-mailed, saving money and time for small US businesses, accounting firms and payroll service providers.
Not only is the new system secure and easy to use, but it also makes sending 1099s to recipients as easy as clicking a button. The idea of e-mailing takes away the extra time to print and stuff envelopes, and a company no longer has to pay the extra cents for a postage stamp.
Although the W2 Mate simplifies many tasks, users may be concerned over security. The company clarified that PDF files generated by the W2 Mate W2/1099 compliance system are encrypted and require a password in order to open the file. The electronic version contains all of the information and meets the terms of applicable IRS procedures.
W2 Mate is also relied on by small business and accounting firms, every year, to process millions of accurate 1099 and w2 returns with the IRS and Social Security Administration.
The W2 E-file and 1099 E-file features are available inside the W2 Mate and can also help save money when used with other enterprise accounting software, such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks payroll software, SAP, Sage MAS 90, Sage MAS 200 and Microsoft Dynamics GP.
